When aware of a drug/alcohol problem write it down.

When we own the problem, it is the beginning of the solution - a Higher Calling in life.  We are then on an honest endeavor to change for the better.

Alcohol/drug addiction can be very difficult to see, even in late stages.

The main concern is whether it is getting in the way of your family, health or work. Take an honest look at these issues. You deserve to be free from negative choices.

If someone else is concerned about your drinking or drug use...

Accept their feedback and question it. Try not to dismiss it. It's ok to doubt them.

Acceptance of Addiction - There's no shame in changing your mind.

Most of us had a long period of adaptation to our drug of choice. When defeated, some of us surrendered to win. Now we're doing well.

Non medication, affordable solutions to drug and alcohol addiction works.

Without twelve step PARTICIPATION, most alcoholics suffer from depression ranging from confusion to built up anger, fear and restlessness to extreme detachment from life. Many resort to other mood-altering chemicals under the illusion that they now are sober and stable. Consensus is that peace and success can be found through a spiritual solution.

We can all get and stay sober and clean by copying successful recovering people.

We can't all do what Stephan Curry does but we don't have to. We CAN do what other successful recovering people have done.

The window of opportunity opens infrequently for drug addicts and alcoholics.

We must surrender when we can because there may not be another chance. Watch the news for the casualties which occur daily.

Sobriety is the center of life for an addict and/or alcoholic.

All else revolves around my Program. Sober and clean, all is possible. When anesthetized from reality, I have a problem I can't solve.

Character building is the essence of recovery!

There are five feelings: glad, mad, sad, fear and guilt. All other feelings are subsumed under these. When you label the feeling, you can work with it. You can begin to let go.

The Medicating of America - My new book.

We are becoming more and more clouded by dependence upon unnecessary drugs to include alcohol and Cannabis. This way of life leads to a desperate need for power, control and self sufficiency, reliance only on self. Thank God for those who fight for abstinence and clean living. Our way of life is worth its weight in gold!

Recovery from addiction is for Winners!!!

We get to get sober and clean. I hope I never forget this. I read about it daily and talk about it daily. More importantly, I listen to others talk about it daily. Most importantly, I pray to remember it each morning,

My recovery  anniversary is today. The Best Day of my life!!!

One of the biggest joys is to share the same day with my friends, Alan and Bill. I now am part of a great Fellowship. Cards from my Mother and Sister have helped me today as they have for the time I've been sober and clean. I have one for each year. I am blessed. God is good!!!

My recovery is a gift yet I had to do much work to get it and much work to keep it.

Most of the work is spiritual and mental.

Recovery from addiction is great, even in the rough times.

We retrain our minds to be positive through prayer, listening to our peers, reading and meditating because now we can. This is a gift available if we work for it.

Sober and sane. What a goal!

For most, it takes a year or two to settle down, detox physically, mentally and emotionally. The first step is honesty about our dilemma, followed with spiritual efforts to do whatever it takes to reverse the damage to self and others.
