Addiction feeds itself on lies. Great Lies!!!

Addiction feeds itself on lies. Great Lies!!!The disease of addiction has a mind of its own. It tells us that it does not exist and causes no problems. The ruse is that the problems are caused by other things. The question is, "Would you have had a dui if you weren't drinking?"

Enablers are in alcoholic/addictive families and in politics. Enabling is For the Benefit of the Enabler.

Whether the enabler is a parent protecting a child or a politician protecting his money and power, the enabler benefits. The parent sleeps better when the child is out of jail so he pays the fine. The politician enables the weak, not just the one who deserves help, and prevents the consequences from occurring. The consequences are how the addict learns. So the addict does not learn.
