|Low Bottom Recovery||
Low Bottom Recovery refers to the initiation of recovery by individuals in the latest stages of addiction who have experienced great losses related to their drinking and drug use. Low bottom recovery is associated with the experience of anguish and desperation—a choice between recovery on the one hand or insanity and death on the other (see Hitting Bottom).
